Terms of Service

1. Who we are

IlmGhar is a tutor marketplace operated in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Pakistan. By using ilmghar.pk you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to register as a tutor. Students under 18 may use the platform only with a parent or guardian managing the account. You agree to provide accurate information.

3. Verification

Tutors agree to submit accurate CNIC and degree information. We may verify these documents and reject profiles where information is inaccurate or unverifiable.

4. Payments and fees

IlmGhar collects payments from students before lessons begin and pays tutors at the end of each month for confirmed lessons. We retain a 15% platform fee on each tutor payout. All transactions are recorded manually by our admin team in v1 — no automated payment gateway is used yet.

5. Lessons and disputes

Tutors mark lessons as completed. Students may confirm or dispute within 24 hours. Disputes are reviewed by our admin team and resolved based on evidence and history.

6. Refunds

If a dispute is resolved in the student's favour, the disputed amount is refunded or credited toward the next month at our discretion.

7. Conduct

You agree not to use IlmGhar for any unlawful purpose, to harass other users, to share inappropriate content, or to bypass our hiring and payment flow by transacting off-platform.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or abusive behaviour.

9. Liability

IlmGhar is a platform that connects students and tutors. While we verify credentials and supervise hiring, we are not liable for the quality of teaching or any disputes outside our platform.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the revised terms.
